Hello Wave fans. Skywalk Pharmacy is proud to announce that we will be continuing the Skywalk Pharmacy Hero of the Game promotion with the Milwaukee Wave for the 2011-2012 season.
The first game of the season is this Sunday, November 13th at 3:00pm. The Hero of the Game will be one of our longtime friends at Skywalk Pharmacy, Austin Edmonds. Austin was born with a rare kidney disease which lead to a kidney transplant when he was only 14 months old. Two years later when Austin was only 3 years old, he was also diagnosed with a form of cancer called Burkkits Lymphoma. This week’s Hero of the Game was Adam Holbrook. Adam is 7 years old and he has an autism spectrum disorder as well as severe, life threatening allergies to 24 different foods. At the game he had his snacks in his little carry pouch so that he could have his treats that he knew were safe to eat. Skittles and Grape Twisted Fruit from Clif are the favorites.
He is proud to have been adopted by a very special foster family. Parents Cindy and Brian Holbrook have adopted 5 special needs children and have given them a home making them Hero’s in anyone’s book. They have taken many children into their home and they are a wonderful family we are lucky to have in our community.
