Skywalk Pharmacy in the Community

Skywalk Pharmacy is dedicated to our patients. We show this by treating our patients to fast, friendly service when they are picking up prescriptions at Skywalk Pharmacy. But our commitment to our patients doesn't end there. Skywalk Pharmacy has partnered with two of our local sports teams to continue our dedication to our patients into the community.

Skywalk Pharmacy has partnered with the Arena Football team, the Milwaukee Mustangs, and the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) team, the Milwaukee Wave, to create the Skywalk Pharmacy Hero of the Game.

The Hero of the Game grew out of Skywalk Pharmacy owner Jake Olson's love of sports and his wanting to make his patients feel like the "heroes" he sees every day. Through his pharmacy inside the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, he sees children and their families dealing with tremendously difficult situations with grace and composure that are a real testament to the love and commitment of families. These families deserve a night out on the town and to be treated like the Heroes that they are. Most of the families rarely go to sporting events due to their intense time commitment in dealing with cancer, transplants, cystic fibrosis, or other conditions. By the end of the week, they are just happy to have survived another week. The last thing they are thinking about is taking some time to go and to anything fun.

This is why Skywalk Pharmacy and the Milwaukee Mustangs and Milwaukee Wave are doing what they can to show them how special they are. The "Hero" receives tickets to the game for themselves and their families. They get to walk out onto the field and have their name announced to receive the recognition they deserve. And what is more exciting than to hear thousands of people cheering for you?! After the game, they get to meet their favorite players and have their pictures taken with them along with autographs.

What an experience for a special child!
